I work in a variety of materials including encaustic, collage, and clay. My strong interest and love of nature are reflected in my organic shapes, patterns and textures. I love the challenge of working with diverse components and trying to bring harmony and cohesiveness to a piece of art.

 

Although I often have a plan in mind, I seldom work from a sketch. As I’m working, I observe what’s happening with the materials and react accordingly, letting the art speak to me.

Some of my pieces are simply decorative explorations with materials, while others have a deep personal meaning. My goal is to hold the viewer's attention for a sustained amount of time, allowing them to make a personal connection with my art.
