Clay Art
My ceramic work is created by hand using pinch, coil, and slab techniques. Deeply inspired by nature and Japanese aesthetics, I’m especially drawn to the philosophy of wabi-sabi—the beauty in imperfection, impermanence, and quiet simplicity.

I focus on texture, rhythm, and the relationship between form and space, allowing each piece to evolve organically. Surfaces often echo natural elements—stone, bark, water, or plant material—capturing a sense of stillness and contemplation.

In addition to exploring form and texture, I love experimenting with a variety of clay bodies and firing methods. I work with Raku and Soda firing, as well as oxidation and reduction atmospheres using both electric and gas kilns. Each technique offers unique surface qualities and unexpected results, reinforcing my appreciation for the unpredictable and the beautifully imperfect.
